I Am Reluctant To Reveal This

While it is no secret I make a significant income from working at home around my daughter, what is less known is how I do this.

I feel a bit weird telling you this because it goes against the grain of what a so- called “successful person” generally does- meaning work long hours and not spending quality time with their family.

I encourage you not to envy me but figure out how you could do it too. And what’s more, if you want, I can show you how.

Since starting my home business my daughter has not seen one day of childcare and I have STILL made an executive level income. We get to spend quality time as a family and do all those things we love to do with our spare time- like travel. We spent 3 months of 2009 traveling around the world. We visited LA, San Francisco, New York, Nashville, St Thomas in the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Cancun. We also visited Palm Cove on our local turf in Australia.

By the way when I started I had no experience in running a business, sales or marketing.

My Life Before July 2008…..

I was a special education teacher. In 2008 I was on maternity leave and every day falling more in love with my gorgeous daughter. Do you know how sometimes you need to be taken away from what’s “normal” in your life to realise you want change?

Well before going on leave I was very happy being a full time teacher (it is extremely difficult to get a full time position straight from university especially located in Inner Sydney, so I felt I had it made). I was in a guaranteed job, I loved my class and I constantly overlooked the fact that I was not getting paid well, I had to put up with so much political crap and I wasn’t in control of my life AT ALL. I was told when I had to work, when I could have time off, what I could and couldn’t teach and I had no say at all over my life.

I finally saw the light.

Being on leave and spending everyday with my daughter changed my views. All of a sudden I noticed that I didn’t have it made in my teaching position BUT my husband was the one who had it made. He was his OWN BOSS and in FULL CONTROL of his life. He was able to spend as much time with my daughter as he wanted. Well I was due back to my teaching position in 6 months (which all of a sudden seemed very restricting). I then made the decision that I didn’t want to return. I didn’t want to put my daughter into full-time care, I wanted the freedom and control I was used to while I was on leave so I had decided I wasn’t going to return.

That meant I needed to find something that I could do that was flexible to run around my daughter but also allowed me to be in control. The searching game begun…..

The Internet Seemed To Be Full Of Scams…..

I hit the internet to find a way to earn an income from home to replace my teaching wage with full excitement. This was short lived. I can’t remember the amount of times I told my husband “Chris, I have found the perfect opportunity, this is it, THIS TIME.” My husband got to the point that he really didn’t believe me anymore because I kept falling over and over again for opportunities that over promised and under delivered.

I had spent nearly $10 000 on trying different online opportunities and training programs without any success. I was feeling deflated but I knew that behind all the HYPE on the internet that all these false claims and promises MUST BE coming from somewhere and I was determined that I was going to find them. I then decided I wasn’t going to jump straight in anymore, that I should reflect on why the others didn’t work and make an informed decision before I tried another one. After reflection, I realised what I needed to look for and I found it. A lucrative and legitmate business that I could be proud to represent.

October 2008 Was The Beginning ….

As I had no experience in business, marketing and sales and I knew every business’s success is based on marketing and sales, so I spent hours and thousands on becoming an expert in this area. I then put my new found knowledge into practise and I didn’t look back. Unlike most people in my industry who spends years and years on working out how to be a success, my business took off like crazy. Three months into this business I was asked by my company to present the marketing training call for my company’s new associates. Five months into my new venture I received my companies Peak Performer trophy. I decided that people should not struggle for years before having success so I have put together intensive training, mentoring programs and systems to make it easier for people to reach their goals a lot quicker.

My mission is to: “Mentor and assists those with a strong burning desire to change their current situation”

Due to my success in this industry, I have been teaching numerous people how to market their businesses successfully  and you could be next. I am always looking for new talent that truly is willing to take over their life both mentally and financially. I started my team Mindset Unlimited in 2008 just for this reason and this is our mission. So far we have created numerous success stories all over the world but our journey has just begun. I learned a long time ago, “the more you help others reach their goals, the sooner you will reach yours.”
